Design Studio Program Lead

As the Program Lead for the Design Studio at Pierce College, I manage a team of designers and work with my supervisors to build the department to increase productivity, services offered, and students helped. My team runs a design lab with materials and resources for the students and completes design project requests from students, staff, and other departments. I primarily utilize the Adobe suite and Microsoft 365 to accomplish my job.

Job Responsibilities

As the Design Lead is my responsibility to:

  • Design and print posters, flyers, handouts and more by request
  • Design digital advertisements and assets
  • Collaborate with and train other designers
  • Work with supervisors to redesign department structure and improve workflow
  • Manage budget, hiring, inventory, and other technicalities for the program
  • Work directly and indirectly with clients to achieve their requests
  • Manage a lab environment, checking out tools, answering questions, etc.
